This album begins with the sounds of Sputnik and ends with a walk in the Sea of Tranquility. It was recorded at the Depot Town Community Room at 10 E. Cross in Ypsilanti, MI, in January 2009. This was recorded in one take with no prior rehearsal or written music. Some of us had never met before. "(I'm A) Solution Child" by Healthy Habitats

Students, ages 8-16, in Willow Run School District recorded a song about their experiences discovering pollution of a local creek and working toward a solution to clean it up. The grant project was called Healthy Habitats and was headed up by Willow Run teachers Sue Littlefield and Laura Hurst. These students are inspirations to us all. We thank them for letting us work with them.

All proceeds from the sale of these recordings support Community Records Foundation's YOUTH SONGWRITING PROGRAMS. For our IMPROVication series, local musicians are invited to improvise and create their own unique musical forms. Then our in-house producer, Dr. Hook, adds his professional perspective to the recordings. These are best when listened to through a good pair of headphones.
